Community Panels

The purpose of Community Panels is to involve residents and other stakeholders in creating sustainable neighbourhoods and places where people want to live. To achieve these aims the Panels look at:

• Housing policy and practices 
•  Community, social, economic and environmental issues 
•  Neighbourhood development and sustainability
  
  

Trafford Housing Trust has five Community Panels which cover the five areas of the borough; Old Trafford, Stretford, the West Area, Sale and Altrincham. These Panels are made up of residents and stakeholders from these areas. The Panels discuss local issues that impact upon the area and develop ways to improve housing services within the area. The Panels discuss issues such as the local environment, improving security for residents, and improving health & safety and the general well being of the community.

There is an open session at the beginning of each meeting and everyone is invited to attend this and talk to the Panel members or the Officers present.
