Questions and Answers

1. What will the works involve?

When we are undertaking internal works this involves replacing kitchens and bathrooms replacements and rewire and heating replacements where needed. The tenants will be informed of the exact work to their property at least 8 weeks before the work starts.

When we are replacing windows this involves replacing all windows in properties that are not currently double glazed UPVC.

2. How long will the work take?

The contractors aim to undertake all internal works within 5 weeks and windows and doors within 3 days.

3. Will I get a decoration allowance?

When we undertake internal works decoration allowances are available in the form of B&Q vouchers. These will be given out where we disrupt a tenants existing decoration on completion of the works and the tenants returning their satisfaction surveys.

Where tenants are vulnerable or elderly they should be referred back to the Regeneration Team as we may undertake their decorating for them.

4. Can I refuse works?

Yes if the tenant is elderly or vulnerable or have already done the work themselves. These tenants should be referred back to the Regeneration Team for a decision.

5. I am elderly will I get any extra help?

The Trust offer a range of extra support for various groups of tenants this includes decoration, packing services and storage of goods. If you would like to know more please contact the Regeneration Team.
