Neighbourhood Market Day

On Monday the 5th March 2007 members of the Old Trafford Housing
Team organised a Neighbourhood Market Day
The aim of the day was to provide information to residents in the
Old Trafford Area of all the Services available throughout the
Trust. The Market Day was run in conjunction with a Beat Sweep
Operation run by several agencies throughout Trafford including the
Trust.
The Beat Sweep was run for three weeks and was a great success. A
number of agencies carried out enforcement operations looking at
Benefit Fraud, Immigration, unregistered vehicles, and drug and
firearms offences.
Beat Sweep is a very important initiative which is being used as a
catalyst for future actions in Old Trafford to take forward the
Safer and Stronger Communities Programme. An essential part of the
Safer and Stronger Communities programme is
to develop neighbourhood management in Old Trafford. Trafford
Housing Trust staff played a large part in the event providing
reassurance for the residents.
