Housing Benefit

If you are in receipt of welfare benefits such as income support, job seekers allowance, or if you are on a low income, you may be entitled to claim housing and council tax benefit. If you are entitled to housing benefit it can pay for all or some of your rent, this will be dependent upon your circumstances.

The Housing Benefit department will require some information from you to support your application. It is imperative that you provide this information as you may lose benefit that you are entitled to if the information is not provided on time. The claim form will have details about what information you will need to provide. Your housing officer can help you with obtaining and completing a housing benefit form.
