Housing for Older People
We’ve over 1500 properties for older people situated across the whole of Trafford. Mainly flats or bungalows with either 1 or 2 bedrooms, with emergency alarm systems. In addition to fortnightly visits, our Support Officers can attend customer’s homes, if assistance is required, at any time of the day or night. We’re dedicated to providing help, reassurance, support and assistance to our older customers so we offer a diverse range of services, agreed in a support plan with each customer and dependent on their own needs.
Sheltered Housing
We also run 26 Sheltered Housing schemes throughout Trafford offering a range of accommodation comprising of bungalows and ground/first floor flats, all covered by a dedicated Support Officer.
Sheltered Housing is different to residential care or nursing homes. People have their own kitchen, bathroom and front door and the reassurance of knowing help is available 24 hours a day via the emergency call systems. Most schemes have a range of activities including coffee mornings, bingo, keep fit or day trips to the seaside.
