Stop, look, listen & respond - to your neighbours
Trafford Housing Trust is encouraging tenants to be good
neighbours through its stop, look, listen & respond
campaign.
An internal campaign began in September 2008 with the Trust's
384 employees who were all encouraged to go that extra mile to help
improve customer service to tenants by focusing on positive
communication, and giving and receiving respect.
Such was the success of the campaign that it has now been rolled
out across the borough to tenants, encouraging them to:
Stop - and give more time to their
neighbours
Look - at ways to support those around them
Listen - to their needs
Respond - by committing their time to make a
difference to their community
The aim of the campaign is to create a mantra to help put pride
back into neighbourhoods and to boost the sense of citizenship in
Trafford.
The second part to the campaign was to create a Little Book of
Calm, which provides handy hints and tips for people to keep calm
in an otherwise chaotic world. The success of the book has been
overwhelming; a teacher at a high school in Preston, Lancashire was
so impressed with the book when he read it he is now using it in
his classes!
Limited free copies of both booklets are available at local
housing area offices. Pick one up today.
