Are you recycling the right stuff in the right bin?

Most of us already recycle, some more than others, but we want to understand what would make us all do more.

snip1.JPGWe’ve joined up with Trafford Council’s Keep Britain Tidy team going door-to-door to speak to residents, offer recycling advice and to help residents understand which items are general waste and which are for recycling.

As well as creating a greener future, recycling can also save customers money, reduce caretaking service charges and prevent problems with pests.

On the day, customers commented that the visits were “very informative”, and that they “do their best to recycle but things could be improved”. Some customers even go the extra mile to recycle, such as Mrs Wozniak in Altrincham who installed her own caddies by the backdoor to make recycling even easier.

The team also handed out a handy recycling guide by Trafford Council which answers any questions about what goes in what bin – you can download a copy here.

For more information visit: or to request a free green waste caddy, call Trafford council on 03330 035865.
