Free registration & matching for THT tenants - the
opportunity to exchange with tenants in Trafford, Manchester, the
North West or beyond............
From April 2010 Trafford Housing Trust has become a member of
Home Swapper
Home Swapper operates a UK-wide database of tenants who would
like to move home and advertises their homes on its website.
THT tenants, who can now register free of charge, can be put in
touch with other registrants in order to seek to achieve a mutual
exchange.
To access Home swapper log on to www.homeswapper.co.uk
and complete the registration form. When you input the name
of your landlord, Home swapper will advise you that THT have paid
your membership and your registration is free.
You will be asked to input the details of the home you have
(bedroom size, location etc) and the home you would like. It
is advisable to add photos of your home when you register, so that
someone registering in another part of the country is able to see
what the property looks like.
Once you have submitted your details, Home swapper will e-mail
us to request confirmation that you are a THT tenant. We aim
to return the confirmation the same day.
Home swapper will search for potentials matches between
registrants and the following day they will be on your "my matches"
area of the website. Where potential swaps are found, you can
be alerted by e-mail, text or letter.
Where you are interested in a potential match, you will use the
contact details provided to contact the other tenant and arrange a
viewing. If you both agree that your properties are suitable
for each other, you contact your respective landlords to request a
mutual exchange.
