At Trafford Housing Trust, we don't want any of our properties
to be left void. This is because we currently have a register of
11,000 people who would like us to help house them in the Trafford
area, and in comparison, the number of properties that come
available to us each year is relatively small. Therefore, when a
tenant informs us they will be moving home, we aim to have that
property advertised as vacant within 7 days.
Should you receive an offer of a property, you can view it
with one of our housing officers and should it be suitable for
you, we will then at this early time discuss any repairs that
will need to be made prior to you moving in.
We discuss repairs at this early stage because we want to make
sure your new home meets your expected standards and that we can
allow you to move in as soon as possible. We will always strive to
make any repairs necessary to your property before you move in,
however on occasions, we may have to undertake repairs in the first
week of your tenancy.
Most importantly, we will always endeavour to make sure before
you move into your new home it is:
- Safe
- Clean
- Has all of its services working
- Secure

standards.
Please note, if you do wish to live in a Trafford Housing Trust
home, you need to register with us. If you are not registered, we
will not be able to process any housing application forms you
complete until you do so. To register, please contact the Customer
Hub on 0300 777 7777 or click
