How can I pay my service charges?

According to the terms of your lease, you must pay your service charges within 30 days of when you receive your invoice.   You can choose one of the following ways to pay.

  • Direct Debit - you can set this up easily by contacting Trafford Housing Trust on 0300 777 7777

  • Via our website www.traffordhousingtrust.co.uk to pay online.  Payments via this method will take 5-7 days to appear on your rent account.

  • Telephone - Use your debit or credit card and call our secure phone line on 0844 557 8321 and follow the instructions. Before calling the number make sure to have your service charge payment card and debit/credit card to hand

  • Cash or cheque:

Cash: Take your service charge payment card for reference and the cash you wish to deposit to any local post office.

Cheque: Make any cheques payable to Trafford Housing Trust and post them to the Finance Team, Trafford Housing Trust Limited, Sale Point, 126-150 Washway Road, Sale M33 6AG

Paying in instalments by direct debit

You can pay your service charge estimate by a monthly direct debit. If you have a current account with a bank or building society you can set up a direct debit to pay the service charge each month. Your bank or building society will make the payments out of your account. Please phone 0300 777 7777.

If you want to pay your ground rent and service charge by monthly direct debit, you can choose whether to have the payments deducted from your bank/building society account on the 1st or 15th of each month.

 

Please make sure that you give your service charge account number when you make any payments.

 

 

Can I change the way I pay?

If you want to change the way you pay, please phone us on 0300 777 7777.

If you are having problems paying, or if you fall behind with payments, please phone our Finance Team. It is important that you tell us about any financial problems which may affect your ability to pay your service charges.

Social Inclusion Team

If you are struggling to pay your service charges, our Money Advisor and our Welfare Benefit Advisor may be able to help you. They can prepare a financial statement so that you can see how much it costs you to live in your property and they will also help you prioritise your debts. This means they will help you to work out affordable ways to pay the money you owe.

They will also check what benefits you are entitled to and help you apply for any benefits you are not claiming.  To make an appointment with the team, please phone us on 0300 777 7777.

Keeping us up to date and contacting us

Contact us if the name or address on your invoice is wrong.

If you receive an invoice that is not in your name (for example, if you have only recently bought your property) please contact us so we can tell you what information we need to change on our records.
