At Trafford Housing Trust, we want you to feel proud of your
home and the area in which you live. Working with you, we want to
help create an environment where you can nuture your family
and grow, provide a place where you feel happy to spend time and
where your children can play in a safe and clean environment.
To do this, we have created a caretaking service that works
within each of the five housing areas to deliver dedicated
local services that will improve the area where you live and the
surrounding environment:
Tower blocks
We have dedicated caretakers that look after these blocks and
who are responsible for the following tasks:
- Cleaning all communal areas
- Keeping common external areas in good condition and clear of
rubbish
- Repairing or reporting communal repairs in blocks and
monitoring the request to see it to completion
Low rise flats
Caretaking services do a weekly visit to all low rise blocks of
flats to:
- Clean the communal areas
- Litter pick
- Report any repairs
Priority Estates
We have dedicated estate caretakers on three estates: Broomwood
Estate, Sale Moor Estate and Lostock Estate. Operating in these
areas, the estate caretaker is a familiar face in the community. If
you identify a problem, please report it to the caretaker who
will:
- Keep the area you live in clean
- Keep the communal areas to a good standard of cleanliness
- Report repairs for you
- Identify and monitor empty dwellings
- Work in conjunction with the area housing office, Police and
other partners to combat crime and nuisance
