Trafford Housing Trust carries out servicing and safety checks
to all its properties. Sure Group Ltd are the only Gas Safe
registered company authorised by Trafford Housing Trust to carry
out this work.
If you smell gas or fumes you should:
- Step 1 TURN OFF gas at the meter
- Step 2 OPEN any windows
- Step 3 EXTINGUISH all naked flames
- Step 4 DON'T USE electrical switches
- Step 5 CALL the National Grid on freephone 0800 111 999
Contact Sure Group immediately on 0161 877 7000
if:
- YOU NOTICE soot marks on or around your appliance
- THE FLAME in the appliance is yellow/orange and not blue
- ANYONE in your household suffers from drowsiness, headaches,
nausea or pains in the chest when using a gas appliance
It is the Trust's responsibility to:
Your responsibility as a resident:
- Allow prompt access to your home to carry out maintenance and
gas safety checks on gas appliances, flues and gas pipe work
installed by Trafford Housing Trust.
- Always keep the appointment made for the inspection of your gas
equipment.
- Give our contractors reasonable access to your home. Failure to
do so is a breach of your Tenancy Agreement, which could result in
legal action to enforce access or end your tenancy. We sincerely
hope this is not necessary, but we will not hesitate to take action
where the health and safety of our residents and neighbours maybe
at risk.
Stay safe and allow us access to your home. Remember
Trafford Housing Trust and SureGroup Ltd employees always carry
identification. ALWAYS ask to see identification before
letting someone into your home.
