The aim of the tenancy support service is to provide housing
related support to people struggling to manage their tenancy. This
will enable people to succeed in their tenancies, and in turn
contribute to sustaining the community and neighbourhoods in which
they live.
The support provided can include:
- Help setting up and maintaining your home
- Help with developing life/budgeting skills
- Help with applying for welfare benefits and submitting
claims
- Help with registering with a GP in the immediate area
- Help with finding schools for children. Help with finding
community/social groups
- Help maintaining personal safety and security and that of your
property.
- Emotional counselling and support
- Help accessing culture specific support/advice/signposting
- Help accessing other service's advice/advocacy/liaison
- Help developing social skills/behavior management
- Although we can help you access services that do, we do not
provide personal care (cooking, cleaning etc), including
administering medication.
