

The Diversity Focus group is currently undergoing some changes
to widen its membership and improve the effect it has on Diversity
issues at the Trust.
It is made up of staff and customers working together to make
the Trust truly diverse in the way it engages with its customers,
and delivers its services. The point is that no one
should be excluded from opportunity either knowingly or
unknowingly, and no one should be labelled. No one should
have trouble accessing our services simply because they are male,
female, young, old, black, white, straight, gay, disabled, not
disabled, or what religion/faith they chose to follow (if any) etc,
etc…
The Diversity Focus group is ambitious and is looking to welcome
new members with fresh ideas. Can you think of a way we can
improve how we tackle our Equality and Diversity Issues? The
group looks at policies and procedures of the Trust, and suggests
areas for change and improvement. Given that the Trust has
over 10,000 customers we need a wide range of viewpoints to help
cover as many different angles as possible. Can you
