Introduction to your Housing Officer

You may recall that in 2010 Trafford Housing Trust took the decision to make some changes on how we delivered our service to you and one of those changes involved removing the housing officer role and in its in place we saw the creation of the Home Living Advisor and Neighbourhood partners.

 Currently, each customer/property has a Home Living Advisor that primarily supports you with all aspects of your tenancy management and a Neighbourhood partner that looks after the Neighbourhood management of the area in which you live.

Over the past 4 years we feel that this split has helped greatly with regards to getting our Neighbourhoods up to a standard that we can be proud of however we have now taken the decision to again merge these roles.

 As of May 18th 2015 we will be reverting back to the Housing officer Role and one of the main reasons for this is to enable you the customer to have 1 named colleague at the Trust that can help you with any of the issues below.

  • Letting properties (Offering properties, viewing and conducting signs ups)

  • Mutual Exchanges

  • Changes to tenancies ( name changes, Single to joint tenancies, successions)

  • Abandoned properties

  • MOT'S

  • Starter and Fixed term tenancy visits

Anti-social behaviour (ASB)

  • Neighbourhood nuisance

  • Untidy gardens/properties

  • Communal area misuse

Neighbourhood management

  • Block and Neighbourhood inspections

  • Fly tipping

  • Graffiti

  • Abandoned vehicles

  • Grounds maintenance

  • Car parking on THT land
