Trust's young apprentice shortlisted for 2 national awards

The Trust is delighted to announce that Carly-Rae Bothwell from our Customer Support Team has been shortlisted for two prestigious national awards. Carly has been shortlisted for “Housing Professional of the Year 2015" by 24Housing,  in addition she has also been shortlisted for "Best Female Apprentice Award 2015" by Women in Housing.

“Housing Professional of the Year 2015" by 24Housing

The Trust originally submitted an entry for the Best Apprenticeship Scheme but the judges, after reading the entry, decided to put Carly-Rae forward for Housing Professional of the Year.

The awards recognise outstanding organisations and individuals who have demonstrated their ability to thrive in the new housing landscape. There are 14 categories and the judge’s shortlist after receiving entries from across the country and focus on entries that demonstrate value for money, best practice, successful outcomes and originality.

Sharon White said, “This is fantastic news, we are proud and delighted that Carly has been shortlisted in such a strong category, her enthusiasm and commitment to supporting customers and the broader team has been and continues to be phenomenal”

Carly-Rae said, “I didn’t even know about the award entry, I’m amazed I’ve been shortlisted but I'm really happy”

The winners for each category will be announced at an awards event in October.

 Women in Housing, Best Female Apprentice Award 2015

These awards recognise the amazing achievements of women who have pushed personal and organisational boundaries to achieve and implement excellence.

There are 11 categories and the awards recognise, reward and celebrate the pioneering women currently working in the UK housing sector.

Carly said, “I am so made up and can’t stop smiling; I didn’t expect to be shortlisted for 1 never mind 2 awards!”

Geoff Davies, customer support manager, describes this as, “... an outstanding achievement, Carly is a credit to the team and the Trust”.

The winner will be announced at an awards event in Manchester in October.
