Future Jobs Fund
Over the past 12 months Trafford Housing Trust provided
placements to 14 young unemployed people through the government's
Future Jobs Fund Scheme. These placements have been across the
business and have provided real opportunities for young people to
gain valuable work experience, as well as developing their skills
sets and supporting them in gaining NVQ qualifications. With a
number of the young people going on to employment elsewhere or
having their time at the Trust extended. Although government
funding has now come to an end for the scheme we are looking in to
options for continuing with the programme in the future.
Volunteering and Work Experience
Volunteering and work experience provides an excellent
opportunity to gain new skills and experience that could that can
help you into employment. Demonstrating on your CV that you have
given your time to help others and taken on new challenges will
only help to improve employment prospects. Trafford Housing Trust
are happy to consider requests from people wishing to do either
work experience placements or who would like to volunteer. We offer
placements across all areas of the business, some of our most
popular areas are Repairs and Youth Work.
