Sheltered housing in Old Trafford

Supporting you to age well

Old Trafford is a vibrant multi-cultural neighbourhood to the north of the borough. Cultural diversity has been a feature of the area for over a century. Well served by bus routes and the Cornbrook Metrolink Station, Old Trafford is popular choice for people who like the convenience of living close to the City centre.

Our sheltered housing scheme in Old Trafford comes with the peace of mind of pull cords, an on-site manager and additional support from TrustCare. Each spacious development offers independent living in a secure environment.

Limelight

Limelight is our unique £20 million extra-care home within a thriving community hub. It’s a ground-breaking development that’s designed to help residents and the community start well, live well and age well. Within Limelight, we have a wide range of facilities including a library, a hair and beauty hub, a café, fitness classes, as well as regular community events for all ages. It’s also home to a Primary Care Centre, which offers social prescribing, a pharmacy and an optician so everything you need is under one roof. Plus, there is a rooftop garden, lounge and laundry exclusively for residents. Click here to visit the Limelight website or call Nicole Bins 0161 968 0101.

If you are over 55, want to live independently, yet have the peace of mind of specialist care and support on-hand, Limelight offers 81 Extra Care apartments to rent or buy.

Lowry Lodge

Lowry Lodge offers 33 apartments within the sheltered housing scheme, all of which have been refurbished and benefit from fitted kitchens and walk-in showers and secure fob entry system. There are an additional 47 apartments in the local area that benefit from the scheme manager service during weekdays. Communal facilities include a lounge and dining rooms, with a kitchen, laundry facilities, and a well maintained private garden. There is also a guest bedroom for residents’ families to stay overnight when visiting. Please contact Melanie Cameron on 0161 848 9481.
