How do I apply to sheltered housing in Trafford?
There are two ways to apply to our sheltered housing schemes:
1. REGISTER WITH HOST
You'll need to register with Housing Options Service Trafford (HOST). You can do this on the register button at the top right of their homepage.
If you’re interested in a property, you’ll need to click on the advert’s place bid button.

2. APPLY DIRECTLY
You can call the relevant scheme manager directly to express your interest in a scheme.
Scheme managers are responsible for dealing with their own rehousing, and each scheme has its own waiting list. You can be added to more than one list if you like multiple schemes.
The waiting list of the schemes vary. Some schemes may be available immediately, while others have longer waiting times.
We recommend applying to schemes via both methods outlined above to increase your chances of securing a place at your chosen scheme.

Am I allowed pets?
There’s a pet policy in place at all our schemes. Only service dogs are permitted, for example, sight or hearing dogs.
I want to visit a scheme, what should I do?
Some schemes are managed on a part-time basis. Contractors and visitors should book an appointment before visiting. You can book an appointment by calling the individual Scheme Manager.
