Limelight opens its doors to job seekers

Job seekers are being invited to visit a drop-in centre in Old Trafford to help them get interview advice ahead of applying for work.

by THT Press Office | 09/11/21

The service is a partnership between Trafford Housing Trust and Working Wardrobe and helps candidates to find job opportunities. It is available at the Limelight Centre on St Brides Way every Tuesday between 09.00 – 4.00.

Candidates can also visit the Working Wardrobe pop-up for interview coaching and to collect interview-appropriate clothes between 10.00 – 3.00 if they have arranged to do so in advance.  They can do this by contacting Natasha Bernard, Trafford Working Wardrobe Project Officer, at Natasha.Bernard@groundwork.org.uk or by calling 07850 310730.

Natasha said: “It’s brilliant to be working alongside the job club at Limelight. The centre really is the hub of the community and being able to support people on their journey to employment feels extremely rewarding. Here at Working Wardrobe, we believe that clothing should never be a barrier to achieving interview success and we are really looking forward to continuing our offer for Trafford residents."

Aileen Edmunds, Head of Social Impact at Trafford Housing Trust, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Working Wardrobe and welcoming job seekers every Tuesday to Limelight, our health and wellbeing hub in the heart of Old Trafford.

“The pandemic has had a massive negative impact on many people looking for work, so this drop-in service is providing essential support and advice for the people who need it most. I also want to remind any Trafford Housing Trust customers, that if you are looking for work you can call my colleague Nikki Mosley for employment advice any day of the working week on 0300 777 7777.”
