I want to take this opportunity to update you about ongoing talks for THT to become part of the L&Q Group.
The talks continue to progress well, as we’d anticipated given the strong relationship that we’ve built over the past two years through our successful joint venture to build new homes.
We are now finalising some of the administration of the acquisition, with a target to complete as soon as possible in late summer or early autumn.
There is real determination on both sides to complete the acquisition to combine the capabilities and resources of the two organisations to create 20,000 new homes and strong communities over the next 10 years. At least half of these homes will be affordable. It will also enable us to inject more investment in existing home and communities.
Our six-week consultation with customers has gone well. I know from speaking with customers, there is a very positive view of joining L&Q and having the resources to do more across the North West.
Some customers understandably have expressed some concerns about becoming part of L&Q. We’re continuing to have conversations with customers to share our view of the positive benefits to them and their local community.
I hope to bring you more news about the acquisition over the coming weeks. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org, contact us via MyAccount or call 0300 777 7777.
