Residents of Trafford and South Manchester are being encouraged to apply for dozens of urgent new carers roles to provide care and support for customers through TrustCare, the independent living services provider of Trafford Housing Trust.

TrustCare is looking for new staff from all walks of life to look after customers throughout the borough, providing support such as personal care, dressing, cooking, cleaning and shopping.

There are a variety of temporary and permanent roles available, and - subject to the correct checks and suitability – candidates could start a career in caring within three days.

Sarah Millican, Business Partnerships Manager at Trafford Housing Trust, said: “In these difficult and challenging circumstances it is more important than ever to look after one another and in particular some of the more vulnerable people in society. We need to carry on caring through this crisis, and the older people in our care need access to the best support we can provide.

“We’re looking for candidates who want to make a real difference to people’s lives on a daily basis, and who have a genuine passion to deliver care.  If you are resilient, caring, compassionate, understanding and respectful, then we want to hear from you.”

With various working patterns available, Trafford Housing Trust offers a minimum 16 contracted hours paid at £9.32 - £10.07 per hour, as well as paid travel and mileage.  Successful applicants will be provided with Personal Protective Equipment along with on-going emotional and job support.

Applications can be made by emailing recruitment@trustcare.org.uk or by calling 0161 968 0186, and there’s more information at TrustCare.org.uk/WorkForUs
