We're offering a dedicated fund to support children and families during the December break.

Following the success of our Active Appetites projects that ran during Easter, May half term and through the Summer, we're pleased to be able to offer a dedicated fund to support children and families during the December break.
We're looking for projects that can offer food provision for children and families needing extra support this winter due to the added pressures following Covid-19 and the lack of school meals during the holiday.
Projects can provide support such as food hampers for families, children's lunch bags and hot meal provisions.
We're offering projects the opportunity to apply for one of two grants – micro and small grants. Micro grants can offer up to £500 of support for your project, and a small grant offers up to £2000 of support.
Your grant can only be used to help fund the food costs involved in your projects, including costs associated with project delivery. This can include staff time, volunteer expenses for food preparation and delivery, food packagings such as bags and containers and any costs needed to minimise the risks of Covid-19. If you wish to provide an activity alongside food support, you'll need to fund the activity through other means.
To be eligible for funding, your support must be:
- Providing food support for families and children
- Taking place during or around the two-week December break (17 December to 3 January)
How to apply?
Applications close at 5pm on Monday 25 October 2021.
Successful applicants will be notified the week commencing Monday 15 November 2021.
